Correction Fee

The original send and first correction are free. A $1 fee applies for each additional re-send after your client has signed or declined.

When you need to re-send a contract for e-signature after your client has already interacted with it (signed or declined), a small correction fee may apply.

How It Works

Every contract starts with two free sends where the client interacts:

SendCostNotes
1st send (original)FreeYour initial e-signature send
2nd send (first correction)FreeOne free re-send after client signs or declines
3rd+ sends$1 eachCorrection fee via Stripe Checkout

What Counts as "Interaction"

Only sends where the client signed or declined count toward the limit. If the client only viewed the contract (but didn't sign or decline), voiding and re-sending is always free.

When the Fee Appears

The fee applies only after you have used both free sends (the original send and the first correction). Once both are used, the modal appears whenever you:

  1. Edit a contract that has been signed or declined and re-send it
  2. Use the contract wizard's auto-resend after editing a previously-sent contract

If your client has only viewed the contract (without signing or declining), voiding and re-sending is always free.

Payment Flow

  1. The modal explains the $1 fee and what happens next
  2. Click "Pay $1 and Resend" to open Stripe Checkout
  3. Complete the card payment (checkout expires after 30 minutes)
  4. You're redirected back automatically
  5. The updated contract is sent to your client for signing

If payment was already completed (e.g., in another tab), the system detects it and proceeds without charging again.

How to Avoid It

  • Review your contract carefully before sending — double-check names, dates, fees, and terms
  • Use the preview in the contract wizard to catch issues early
  • If the client has only viewed (not signed or declined), voiding and re-sending is free

Common Questions

What if payment fails or I cancel checkout?

Nothing is charged and the contract is not re-sent. Your existing contract remains unchanged. You can try again.

Is the fee per contract or per send?

Per send. Each additional re-send after the 2 free interacted sends costs $1.

Can I avoid the fee by creating a brand new contract?

Yes, but you would consume another GigPack for the new e-signature send.
