After a gig is complete, send your client a thank-you email with an optional link to leave a Google review.

When to Send

Review requests can only be sent on fully paid gigs within 1–59 days after the event date (weddings have a 10-day minimum waiting period; planner-booked weddings use the standard 1-day minimum). The follow-up engine automatically suggests sending a review request as a low-priority action item on eligible past gigs where one hasn't been sent yet.

You'll see "Send Review Request" in the follow-up suggestions on the Gigs Inbox for eligible past gigs.

How to Send

  1. Open a past gig from the Gigs Inbox
  2. Click the "Send Review Request" follow-up action
  3. Optionally add a custom personal message (up to 1,000 characters)
  4. Click "Send Request"

The email is sent to the client's email address on the contract.

What the Client Receives

The client receives a branded thank-you email that includes:

  • A greeting with their name
  • A thank-you message referencing the performer name, event type, and date
  • Your custom message (if provided), displayed as a quoted block
  • A "Leave a Review" button linking to your Google review page (if configured)
  • A closing thank-you from the performer

Setting Up Your Google Review Link

To include a "Leave a Review" button in review request emails:

  1. Go to Dashboard > Settings > Client Portal
  2. Find the Review Settings section
  3. Paste your Google Business review URL

If no review URL is configured, the email still sends as a thank-you — it just won't include the review button.

Common Questions

Can I send more than one review request per gig?

No. Review requests are one-shot — once sent, the action is permanently marked as complete for that contract.

What if I don't have a Google review URL?

The email still sends as a thank-you message. You can add your review URL later in Settings for future gigs.

Does this appear in the follow-up engine?

Yes. Past gigs where a review request hasn't been sent show a low-priority "Send Review Request" suggestion.
