The contract wizard walks you through building a professional performance agreement in 7 steps.
Performer Types
GigOrganizer supports six performer types, each with specialized terms:
- Musician — Bands, solo artists, orchestras
- DJ — Club, wedding, corporate with technical riders
- Comedian — Standup, emcee, corporate with content ratings
- Magician — Close-up, stage, mentalist with IP protection
- Kids Entertainer — Parties and events with safety disclosures
- Circus/Aerialist — Rigging requirements and fire performance
The 7 Steps
1. Choose Event Type
Select a preset (Wedding, Corporate, Private Party, etc.) to pre-fill standard terms. You can edit anything after selection.
2. Essentials
Enter performer name, client name and email, venue, date, start/end times, and fee.
3. Payment Terms
Set the deposit percentage (or flat amount), due dates, and accepted payment methods.
4. Cancellation and Overtime
Define cancellation windows and penalties. Set overtime rates — the wizard auto-calculates using your fee, hours, and multiplier.
5. Logistics
Specify arrival lead time, meal provisions, recording permission, equipment needs, and rider notes. The wizard suggests meals when your gig crosses lunch (12pm) or dinner (6pm).
6. Clauses
Browse the clause library and add optional clauses. Pro users have access to advanced clauses — look for the "Pro" badge.
7. Review and Send
Preview the full contract text. You can edit the text directly in the preview. Then purchase or use a GigPack to send for e-signature.
