7. CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation 14+ days before event: Full deposit refund
Cancellation within 7 days: Deposit non-refundable; 50% of remaining balance due
Force Majeure: Force majeure applies only where performance is prevented or made unsafe by circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the affected party, such as severe weather, natural disaster, epidemic or public health emergency, government order or restriction, venue closure, serious illness or injury, civil unrest, interruption of essential transportation, or comparable emergency. Ordinary weather concerns, seasonal temperature changes, client preference, anticipated discomfort, or voluntary cancellation of the event do not constitute force majeure unless both parties agree in writing.
The affected party shall notify the other party as promptly as practicable. If a force majeure event prevents performance, the parties will make reasonable efforts to reschedule in good faith. A rescheduled date may require a price adjustment to reflect the market value of the new date, to be negotiated in good faith. If rescheduling is not feasible within 90 days of the original date, either party may terminate this Agreement by written notice. Any refund or credit will be determined under this Agreement after accounting for reasonable non-recoverable expenses already incurred by Artist (such as travel, equipment rental, or rehearsal costs) and work already performed.
No-Show by Comedian: Full refund of all amounts paid.
No-Show by Client/Venue Closure: Full payment due to Comedian.

8. RECORDING & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Recording Policy: No recording or photography permitted without prior written consent
Photography: Event photography permitted; professional photos may be used by Comedian for promotion
Social Media: Short clips (under 60 seconds) may be shared with Comedian credited
Promotional Use: Requires separate written agreement
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY: Comedian retains all rights to their material, jokes, and performance content. The fee paid is for a live performance only, not rights to the material. Any recording, transcription, or reproduction of the material requires separate written agreement.

9. LIABILITY
═══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════
Comedian is an independent contractor, not an employee of Client.
Client shall maintain adequate liability insurance for the event venue and attendees.
Client acknowledges that comedy performances may include mature themes, language, or content as agreed under Content Rating above. Client agrees to inform attendees of content rating in advance.
Neither party shall be liable to the other for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. GOVERNING LAW

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of California.
Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in the state specified above.
